Singapore is 42 year old this year!!!
So we should celebrate its birthday
went to the Esplanade to watch the ndp from a distance
so cool i could see the floating platform from where i was standing
and it feels like i was so near the stage
anyway i went there at 2pm with my family to watch this performance in the Esplanade
it was by the handbell ensemble in Haig Girls’ School
and they were so cute
![]()
like this little girl who is like barely the height of the table trying to play a C4 bell
with 2 hands
and she looked really cute ![]()
and there was this interactive session with the audience
guess who i saw
Mrs Anis
and her family
which is her daughters and her husband
and apparently her eldest daughter is in the ringers in Haig Girls’ School
so cool right!
anyway then we went to “chope” a seat along the Singapore River
fully displaying the ‘kiasu-ness’ of Singaporeans
and there were already a lot of people
so we had to sit on the floor
and while i played with my cube
and i solved it ![]()
we waited for a loooonnnggg time before these 2 aunties came
then everybody wa so kiasu then everybody stood up
so we decided to pack since it wouldnt be long before our belongings[on the floor]
will be stomped on
aiyah then we stood for a long long time
thankfully it wasnt long before the parade started
hey and i took many pictures ![]()
175 to be exact
and 2 videos of the fireworks
since i decided taking photos will be fruitless
and i feel to clever to be predicting that there will be a finale of the fireworks
after the 5 min fireworks
yayy so i got my cam ready and sure enough
there was a shower of fireworks ![]()
oh im so pro
and when the fireworks were in the beautiful night sky
those below [aka me]
were showered with…
firework rubbish
like the rope
and the outer coverings of the fireworks
urgh.
well its a price to pay for the fireworks
pics!!
parachuter
the new stage
the nicest pic i got the whole evening
i got it when i was trying to take a pic of the flag flying above our heads
then there was this guy prompting my dad to take it against the city centre
apparently my dad didnt hear it
but with my super sharp ears, i swerved my cam around
and got this pic ![]()
and i copyrighted it
HAH so there
the lighted balloon that was supposed to look like a jellyfish ![]()
hey its not my fault that the ndp wants to emphasise on sea creatures
and the jellyfish [according to my mum]
looked like dementors
O.o
please larh
show off
the city skyline and night scene actually looks good
next time
Happy Birthday Singapore!
