today was okay, i guess

started off with si han. ahh i feel so blur. blurblur. i thought my si han book was in school and my dictionary too so i thought go school then revise so i pretty much slacked yesterday off. so today i went to school and found out that my si han book was at home, or rather, not in my locker and so was my dictionary!!!! so i thought i was soooo dead. anyway thanks esther for lending me your dictionary if not i will mati.

si han was okay, and well i did question 1 although i wasnt sure what the question meant, well i didnt go into details, so i am hoping my si han wasnt 离题。ahh why didnt i mug yesterday for si han?!$#*$)*@Q#^)

anyway mrs sia is seriously blur, because she thought it was her lesson for 1st block then turned out to be mrs mohd’s. geog was okay and we talked about hydroponics and aeroponics. eeyer.

we did 听写for chinese and it was 白板听写, aiyah the whole class was in chaos, as usual, during ting xie, despite lao shi’s effort to calm us down.

did research on majapahit during history in the school library. was reminded of this thing that rachel started saying

“Majapahit,
 is cool like sh**”

and i think it started when huifei got majapahit and she went “we got the ma-something-sh** place” and it really rhymes and it will make a great rap, although its rather vulgar.

Rachel spent 30++ pages of my photocopying card while photocopying the books. bah.

math was fun though we were rather disappointed that mrs sia had to leave early.
it was mrs sia’s birthday yesterday. and we hid under the table for 30 mins in the dark hoping to surprise mrs sia. in the end it turned out that mrs sia went back because of mc.
though i really hope that mrs sia gets well, the system in rgs is super slow larh, because some people from 109 went to look for mrs sia then they went to the GO and the people said that mrs sia was in the school so they searched the whole school for her then 45 mins into the lesson a teacher came to tell us that mrs sia went home

the curry puff at moelc is seriously good, especially on colder days like today and you are just craving for some hot food (not instant noodles because they are bad for your health)

today started off with house elections. heh i dont think anyone took it really really seriously because we didnt know them especially well. i shant tell you about my votes because they are confidential (like DUH)

rs was okay. but there wasnt any internet connection so a lot of people were playing games on the comp then i was playing spider solitare and then i couldnt even complete a game because mr png always seemed to be peeking over our heads because he is so BLOODY TALL. (sorry no offence)

then there was literature then recess then english. bah. we did ffa summary thing then our group’s butcher sheet looks nice. considering our group is not especially artistically talented, well at least i’m not artistically inclined, i dont know about rachel wong or peixuan, but huifei of course isnt

so before history i was copying huifei’s chem diagrams then jinghui creeped up on me then she tapped me on the shoulder. well i was very the shocked so i screamed lorh. so embarrassing!! anyway then huifei started laughing all the way until 15 minutes into history lesson. haha VERY FUNNY. and mdm rozanah was giving us this what’s-wrong-with-her-why-is-she-laughing-non-stop kind of look. and i realise teachers are pro at giving us THE LOOK. like i bet they practise at home at least 100 LOOKS to give us.

during chem then we drew loads of circles and i cant draw a nicenicenice circle. hmph.

some people are so inconsiderate can’t they spare a thought for your classmate? like you are soo selfish that even though she isnt feeling well then you still want the bloody aircon blasting in your face because you feel warm and you object to have the fan blowing like siao and the doors wide open. i know i shouldnt be writing this but yeah, i dont care. and after people remind you then you still give them that reluctant look and cant you realise your mistake!! pissed.

today’s chem was rather dry. actually really dry. and half the lesson was listening to mr lau drone on and on about atoms then i cant even hear what kimberly said and i was feeling pissed cos some people just cannot let mr lau complete the damned sentence then they are eager to ask another. like come on, cant we just listen?!

i mean its kind of good to be curious etc. but for people like me i cant even understand half of the cheem stuff you say about the blahblahblah and its not even covered and mr lau said thats not important so there.

haha but chem overall is still interesting. and mr lau is a nice teacher. heh yesterday he said his prefects said he has become really lame since he taught the lower sec. HAHA TOO BAD.

pe we did track and field near the koi pond and we learnt the starting for sprints-standing and crouch start.

drama was funn, as usual, but i havent written my journal for 3 weeks

geog [taken over math] was fun too because of mrs mohd. anyway i spent 5 minutes of lunch copying the cause and effect chart. yeeps. im so not lending anyone my notes, haha im selfish. who ask you never stay back to copy lorh.

english ms ong got really pissed cos we didnt fill in all the blanks. bah.

chinese was fun cos there was a smaller class = slack and we played games and our group won mentos.

party was okay, haha food!

isnt its fun! [so random xD]

anyway my craving for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows wasnt satisfied even though popular started selling them early in the morning at 7.01 am but my mum reckons that the queue will be super long thus the delay in my aquiring of the PRIZED BOOK

haha so i went to Chinatown + telok ayer street to:

take photos for history pt. bleh. anyway i spent a freaking long time to finish taking pictures of all the stuff there and im super kiasu and i took pictures of every attractions though im positive that i wont be able to fit even 10% of them in the pt report/product itself. anyway my mum bought the ang ku kueh and whatnots from a supposedly famous shop which my mum used to go when she worked on telok ayer street.

haha and it satisfied my cravings for ang ku kueh since… last week i think. plus its peanut flavoured. yumm. i devoured it in the carpark. O.o

then we went to shop in chinatown.

so then we finally went to popular to collect the book. and all the rumours etc about the spacing is super big is FALSE because my book is 600-odd pages, not 700 ++. and im trying to use standard english [aka no less abbrevations]

and the rest of the time is spent reading the book. and i think so far its pretty good… i flipped to the back of the book when i got it and read the ending. [in spite of my mum's frantic objections about how to enjoy the process of reading ......]

i feel kind of guilty for spending time on the book because of the homework we have this week– history fa, geog fa, english fa, lit fa, chinese comprehension practice, history pt, chinese 阅读报告, math worksheet– that sucks, a lot.

i shall read the book anyway.

heh RHD is another abbreviation in rgs. like there are a whole lot of them. and in english ms ong said something about the world is more fast paces thus we use— abbreviations.

anyway rhd was a blast and we sure had fun, kinda.

and well i had a pretty good time and 109 was dressed in many colourful costumes.

ketupat making was disastrous. and my ketupat became a mess of ribbons. and i tried it in p5, i couldnt do it. and now i tried it again and i STILL can get it. sigh. i think im not good at weaving stuff, especially ketupats. and some people like rachael lo are super pro, but im not.

chinese hopscotch was fun too though it was kind of boring… anyway 109 won the competition!

recess i ate muah chee [spelling?] anyway they gave super little but at least it was pretty cheap.

walking through the rooms was fun cos there were jands on stuff and me and jinni walked around and she taught me how to play chinese animal chess. but ahh i lost!! and she won me in… 5 minutes?
heh thats pretty… pathetic i think.
anyway then we played around with the lion dance thing.
and the new J2 toilets are clean! and not smelly! and pleasant. and the sinks are super nice the floors are dry and whole place is so nice compared to the J1 toilet which is stinky, clogged, wet, disgusting and urgh. it was pretty bad.

heh food appreciation was okay and nice claudia let us cut queue then we got the japanese noodles. and we were one of the last people who got them.

the concert was super funny cos the sec 3s were doing some kind of dance thing then elaine was on stage making a fool of herself.

prac was funn though i came down late cos i helped to clean up our surprisingly messy class.

heh we prac-ed pdq and under the sea. heh then wenqi told me the story of Sally. Wenqi its not scary.

so right then we prac-ed 5 songs corrine (?) the ex-conductor brought us then haha i got promoted to c cos no one was there to take it. anyway then all the sec 1s left except for me. anyway then we played 4 out of 5 songs. i think and 4 out of 5 were in jap cos i think she (corrinne) took jap cos she can speak super fluently.

anyway so we did the songs. and they were nice! nice! nice! esp theres one part where there were 10 odd notes then the treble people can play them randomly anytime they wanted in the bar. o.0

today was the funnest day i’ve had in rgs. at least as far as i can remember. haha today was slack = fun = happy!!

haha today consists of mainly: chinese, aesthetics!, english and math.

chinese was okay, i guess. haha basically everything is normal. we went through ke wen then we did excerises. yepp then our group got the presents lao shi brought even though we have the lowest points. heh. anyway its kinda fair because lao shi doesnt call us as often as those in front. [supposedly]
the present was a pack of blue post-its and its like the multi-coloured ones i have. heh and huifei gave hers to christabel.

anyway then recess was spent doing homework. im trying to be like jinni/samantha to finish my homework and be hardworking. though i doubt that i would ever be like them. the lazy genes are IN ME.

anyway we chionged to the dance studio cos someone told us that aesthetics would be there then we went in with mr kenneth tan outside talking about something funny. 0.o anyway then we went in then there was a teacher inside and shes called… michelle i think. then shes pretty cool cos shes like YOUNG AND HIP. anyway then she said something about she was sick then she had to teach a new class. well then a sec 2 came in then told us we were supposed to be in the music rooms upstairs. haha so michelle didnt have to teach us afterall.

so right we trudged up to the music room then we were split into the grade 5 and above and the rest are in one class. haha im in the grade 5 and above one though i thought i wouldnt cos my music is terrible, especially with a class like 109 where most of them are geniuses. sighs. so the teacher Mr Kok (?) was funny cos i thought he would be like some boring/strict teacher who is like quite old. heh no STEREOTYPING. anyway then he taught us about the arranger and blah blah blah then the fun part comes when he shows us about the different instruments and how the sound comes out.

so then its really fun cos the sound that comes out is so REAL. haha then he played the under the sea song. i seem to hear that song a lot. hmmm-gym routine music, ringers orientation song- anyway then its really cool cos its like the REAL THING. haha then he told us about how sci-fi songs are compsed, the music is just anyhow press then the music comes out. and he even sat on the keyboard and the sound is like CLANG…. oops. so then he told us about the song he composed for his 6 (then 4) daughter who said “yuan de bu na(neng) na” which is like an indian saying. haha then he was SUPER FUNNEH.

anyway so we (me, stef, rachael) actually got dedication out on our station. heh i played the higher notes then rachael on the lower one then stef played the chords.

later we switched over and i found out that christabel and all the grade 8 ppl are super pro.

anyway the other side was much funner cos we got more HANDS-ON. and we learnt how to play in a band. well, so called band anyway. and we are getting headphones next week and they are uber cool cos you can talk to each other without the others hearing. and they cost $200 each. 0.0

whew. im really looking forward to next thursday cos its going to be funn. yayy.

prac!

yayy theres prac! today! heh and its like what a wonder to be looking forward to prac when its actually eating up your precious time to do homework etc. and how we actually dreaded to go for prac at the start of the year. (at least i did) and how we (i) am more enthu! about prac these days.

and today we did pdq and its really fun!! well except that ms goh we going through these parts where i had absolutely no notes and i was stoning. heh should be doing something more constructive, but yeah. but prac is still nice cos you get to be with all the ringers! yayy.

ahh i think that jocelyne is quitting ringers or smth. but…

and we got the assignment for a new song for orientation! under the sea! from little mermaid! and thats the song we used for gym. isnt this world full of coincidences? sigh. anyway im playing G3. and its a lot smaller than F3. like REALLY a lot smaller. and lighter. heh but the song is super fast. anyway yanyu is superwoman cos she can lift the E3 bell in one hand and F3 in another. and somemore ring them. heh.

and today’s lessons werent as bad as i thought they would be and i was relieved by the end of lunch cos math! and chinese! are a breeze! yayy.

gym tomorrow is bad. but track and field is worse.

tomorrow is a bad day cos theres rs. and lit and english CONSECUTIVELY. and gym and history. at least tomorrow is a short day and theres no french!

looking forward to thursday! aesthetics for 3 blocks!

mr lau is a nice teacher cos he teaches us real stuff and he is not like mr de souza who is like you want to listen then listen lor. plus he cracks jokes (sometimes) like mrs mohd. and mrs mohd is also a nice teacher.

and the teacher really matters in this kind of stuff and like is you have a teacher like… mrs sia or something compared to mrs mohd.

which is basically what gym is about. heh. our routine today was okay, i guess, at least i can do my forward roll properly [as in not bang into the other people]. candlestands are bad too. cos i cant do them properly. and you are supposed to hold your legs completely straight, which i cant do. and i bet track and field wont be THAT much better cos you have to run and jump and all that stuff.

Harry potter.

Harry Potter movie is seriously a teeny weeny bit disappointing. Heh maybe its like because of that the movie left out a lot of stuff that the book was about.

and i like the book better

plus i like the part where the people perform magic, but there wasnt enough in the movie, and its like more storyline based. yepp.

but i guess its kind of difficult to squeeze a gigantic book in a 2 hour movie. even potc is like 3 hours long. sooo, overall i think its kind of good. though i kind of like movies as a whole, and i dont know how to like rate them.

did i mention that last thursday was the last d&t lesson we will be having? heh maybe not. we are moving on to music! and! dance! and according to the rest of the sec ones, its supposed to be the funnest and nicest [again!] module of aesthetics. anyway, i think it would be fun to learn how to play instruments and dance. not that i am pro in dancing or anything. seriously i’ve got 2 left feet.

anyway, back to harry potter. reminds me of the harry potter medley they played during concert.

anyway [spoiler!!]

the movie didnt include a lot of details like in the book and a lot of events didnt have the same cause/effect as in the book. but the movie did emphasise on the themes and motifs in the book like — love. [oohlala] and kinship. especially when harry/hagrid says that ” hes the only kin i have” or something.

heh the emphasis on cho chang’s relationship with harry wasnt very big and the only thing that they did was the major KISS they had in the room and they were holding hands [i think] in one part of the movie. heh.

so basically the movie was kind of rushing along and it didnt spend a lot of time on the details in the movie. but basically if you are a harry potter fan or you have been following-up on the harry potter series [like me] you should be watching this.

and daniel radcliffe is a lot shorter than his other 2 friends. even emma watson is taller than him. probably because of his [relatively] shorter legs, fully shown in the scene where dumbledore was holding harry in his arms. and needless to say when he stood beside neville longbottom, and he reached like to below the shoulders of neville.

and class dc sucks. i dont like to miss prac. somehow i miss pracs. anyway its kind of good cos basically its only a 1 hour dc. and we cant do homework during dc, and are we supposed to do some kind of reflection questions during dc. at least its a CLASS dc, so we are all in this together [high school musical. ]. better than individual dc cos first, you have to do it yourself. and secondly it means that you are that close to a BETA and betas are NOT good. i mean isnt it like some feared thing cos the bad records stay with you all the way to jc or beyond, and its like a black mark almost FOREVER in your life as a student.
